As most of you will know, I am without my 'Canon 350 EOS' digital camera, due to an unfortunate accident. I had an idea for this 'Black & White Abstract' challenge. Without my trusty 'Canon', I had to use my 'Kodak DX6490' digital.

I had forgotten how to use it, and took more than a hour to find out, as it was so long since I had taken any images with it.

This was the best one of two that turned out out of more than 100 images.

Basic processing in color version first, and then changed to 'Gradient Map', and then to 'Black & White'.

Resized and saved for web.

A closer shot on this without the outter "frame" would make this more interesting to me. Interesting subject though - great in b&w.

Looks like the licorice candy, but more like a dish or something patterned after them. Not sure what to make of this.
