The conversion here was surprisingly simple.

1. Levels - Pull in the ends to increase contrast.
2. Add texture, a wall I picked up in India, and set the blending mode to Multiply (50%).
3. Erase a little of the texture off the little poles.
4. CS3 B&W layer, standard settings except for a sepia tone (42 degrees, 10% saturation).
5. A little hard light layer to darken the corners.

Voila. All done.

VERY nice with the processing and toning. Overlay? One you shot or one you picked up? (Asking because I like it.) Would also like notes on your conversion and toning if you get the time.
