The steps of an apartment building on the lower east side. A concrete sculpture of a dog, and behind, a woman passed out.

This was a quick grab, it felt too intrusive to do otherwise.

Oh, half of the dog's head is eroded away, so that's mostly why the detail is lost!

Thanks Germaine, I don't think you are nit-picking. Unfortunately there is no "ear" to burn in -- that part of the little statue is gone.

This is a real nit pick, but is there anything you can do to the dog's right ear to burn it in more? There's a little white patch behind it which distracts me, and you lose the dog's outline IMNSHO. 8-)

Otherwise, it's a great street shot. I'd like to see it in b&w.

The statue dog looks as though there are tears running down his face, as though he's done what he could but it's all falling down around him while he tries to maintain his bearing and dignity.
