Shot at 300 mm. Raw conversion, shadows/highlights, Selective Color, and a curve. Crop, Resize, Sharpen, Save for web.
Since I shot at 300 mm, some details were just going to be lost, but I really liked the light from the nearly full moon breaking through the low clouds.
I tried to get to Grizzly Peak Road in Berkeley from Highway 13 but got lost in the Hills of Montclair. So I went to try and find it another way and went to Hiller Road instead.
I freely admit this is way overdone, eventhough the light looked magenta, I would have processed differently if not for a purple challenge.
PC: LoL, sometimes you look at a photo long enough and convince yourself it will do well, sometimes you are very wrong. :P |

| Ah, my dear Joe, you've broken the KISS rule for good scores at DPC - and you know better! I find the picture quite delightful to wander through. I actually like pictures that offer the option to "wander through". Meets the challenge well, though purists might find it a tad on the blue side. |

| One or two hot spots there? I like this though, the water in the centre stops the metal structures from looking over-cluttered. |

| Nice long shot... I somehow feel that composition could have been better if you could have cropped/moved away from the distracting right bottom thing(some port I guess)... |

| A crop of the far side of the river only would have looked better as the foreground is too mnoisy and cluttered. Good looking sky. |
