I saw this beautiful scene on the way back from Jasper on our way to our hotel. It just seemed to keep getting better and better. My wife asked if I wanted to stop and I said no because she was really tired and I wanted to get her home. I then realized that I would likely never see this again so we stopped. After I was done shooting we saw about a dozen other photographers along the highway. I didn't even know about this challenge until I got home.

Editing Steps:
Saturation (+25)
Resize
Sharpen

post challenge: Not sure why this didn't do better. Perhaps because people didn't believe these were the actual colors I saw. (No color adjustments were done except to increase saturation.)

I love the story behind this. Some of my best pics have come from times I don't want to stop or pull my stuff back out but do it anyway. I'm toying with whether the shot would be improved by cropping off the bottom 20%. Mainly it would be to remove the shoulder section of the road. It's also a hard call what to do with the overall luminosity. Here you emphasize the moon, which is great, but at the cost of having a pretty muddy canvas. You could boost everything which will diminish the moon's emphasis somewhat, but might make the canvas better overall.

I love the sun in this shot, so small yet so effective. I would like to see a bit more depth and textures in the mountain to really make this picture come alive. Great scenery.

This would be a good location for a long exposure so that the headlights stream down thru the image.

Very nice. Simple and basic. Pixellated slightly but you probably had to resize to submit it.
