 Overlay texture applied. What do you think of the dark areas in the upper L corner?

Thanks for all the comments! I was worried that the shadows in the upper L corner were too dark, is all. The reasony why I have so much BG is because I was trying to use the BG to make the iris look small & alone in that vast sea of green. I did go thru the 'crop it real tight & change the BG to flat black,' but I didn't like it.

Flower is beautiful, overlay works, and the dark areas aren't bothersome. What is bothersome, though is the size of the background leaves in relation to the iris. Agree with others that a different crop might be more effective.

Wow, vivid colors. Looks good as is.
Another crop might be some off the right side...just to make another good image, maybe.

I don't know if the darkness bothers me ... don't think so, but I'd crop tighter just to show off more of the iris's veining pattern. It's nicely delineated here and the background leaves aren't doing much for me in comparison.
