So... I shot four days worth of Woody. He got so tired of posing for me that he's demanded a renegotiation of his contract and I think has gone into seclusion. This was an attempt to do something with wine glasses and gelatin. Hey, it works for levyj413! An in fact, this was sort of a test shot, but the light trail was kinda cool. The Team Germany guys, bless their hearts, were subjected to endless test shots this week and I thank them for their patience. The glass really isn't as filthy as it appears, at least not to the naked eye - it's just very, very cheap glass. Lesson learned - use very good glass if brightly lit from behind.

Lit with a flashlight from behind (or torch, for those not from North America.)

Other options (from way too many failed attempts!):

What a slave driver, no wonder he wishes a new contract, great idea and looks good.

ROFL! Wow, what a tribute. :) Sorry I didn't vote on this, Deb! I like the light on the floor, and yeah, you need really clear glass.

You sure did put Woody thru the ringer this week :D Actually it looks like you did his Senior portrait session with all the different scenerey lol. I have to say that there were two others that I like better than this one. I'm not fond of how the gels look in the glasses. But I bet this was fun to try and it sounds like you learned quite a bit from it too.

The glass with the blue gel in it seems to be covered in dry water marks which is very distracting, the yellow gel however makes a lovely reflection on the floor area.

Nice composition and I do like the light, though it is reflecting in a few odd places on the backdrop. I woud have tried a non-reflective cloth backdrop for the background, and either continued it on the surface under your models or had something that was a color match so there wouldn't be a line across the back there. Big nit: the glass with the blue jello is really dirty.
