Love the thorns! And I have the same problem with sharpness. After you resize, sharpen again, using either Sharpen and reduce the strength, or one of the other sharpen methods at a low "power". Then load it to here and see how it looks. Another thing - if you're shooting RAW and converting to jpeg, remember to Convert to Profile from Adobe RGB to sRGB, which is the colorspace used by the web. |

Kelli, when reducing your images before uploading, are you using Bicubic Sharper? That helps maintain sharpness in reductions.

Very, very good capture. . . yours too! This is a unique image. It does appear to be somewhat soft.
I am not the computer expert, but your new computer may need a calibration, color sync, or gamma match. What's going on is correctable. If you look through the threads there are any number of tutorials that will get you straightened out. |
