I have seen this waterfall for many years off trail, but had never figured out how to get back there. The area is quite brushy, full of salmon berry bushes, devils clubs, and also very marshy. I finally found a fallen tree to walk on, jumped down through the salmon berry and devils club, tore myself to pieces falling into a devils club, squashed through the marshy area, climbed over a couple of stumps and finally arrived at my destination. Set the camera on the tripod, framed the shot, pushed the shutter. Dang, no memory card in the camera. So, unhooked the camera, took down the tripod, crashed back through the brush again, made it to the car, put in the memory card and repeated prior steps. Oh yea, the bugs were a bit thirsty too. Needless to say, I earned this shot haahaa |
