Day 9 of 30 Flowers
They're back! I had two Monarchs in the yard yesterday, enjoying the Butterfly Bush. They're a little more skittish than the Tiger Swallowtails but patience and using the big lens paid off.
I have two Butterfly Bushes and I have to say they are a constant delight with all the pollinators they attract. Definitely one of the best garden additions I've ever made.
I think I had the 12mm extension tube on.
PP - converted from RAW, cropped, levels, white balance, increased saturation on butterfly and primary flower, colored a dead flowerhead purple 'cuz I liked the look better, dodged butterfly and primary flower, burnt/blurred some of background, healed a few leafy blemishes, added border, resized, sharpened with noise reduction. |

| Really beautiful shot Mary. Love the colours and that Monarch, just fantastic. I haven't seen a monarch butterfly in years, there used to be thousands. |
