 Globe Thistle

These guys are amazing flowers. They are all over the place in the gardens up in Windsor Vermont. The bees love them.

Processing: Selective colors, minor noise ninja, crop, resize, sharpen post resize using USM

Don'tcha just love that lens? I've got the same one and I just love it for macro and dof shots like this. Very nice colors in this.

I love those flowers, there are some at the Botanical Gardens that I love to shoot. Excellent DOF and clarity here.

I like the thistle shot. Even though the dof is on, I am just wondering if so much of the background needs to be in this presentation. You start looking at it to see what's there and the full attention should be on the thistle. But that is just IMHO.
