I think this is St. John's Wort, but if anyone can provide a different identification, please let me know.

While not an especially inspired shot, on this one I experimented a lot with curves and selective desat. In the original unedited shot (which I've managed to misplace, duh), the colors are very vivid: screaming yellow petals and acid green leaves.

Also tried selecting just the blossom and doing some adjustments just to it. Usually I don't do any local image adjustments, except the occasional speck removal. I haven't mastered Photoshop's selection tools (or curves layer, for that matter).

Excellent composition and I like the muted colors.

I don't think this is St.John's wort - too many petals. It usually has only 5.

It doesn't look like the St. John's wort around here, but then again it's hard to tell because it isn't fully opened. I like this shot, though, you've got a newly opening flower and a bud in one photo, focus is nice yet it still has a soft delicate feel to it.
