 I took this out on a field while driving through Wine/Cow country in northern CA. The sun was setting behind the horse. I used my zoom from the side of the road, using the setting sun as a rim light for the horse. Even with a lens hood there was a bit of lens flare, and a lot of contrast reduction, which looked fine on the camera's LCD, but really showed up (in a bad way) once I saw it full-size.

Couldn't sharpen because it brought out the highlights in the grass too much, without much benefit to the horse.

I'm not sure if the flare is a problem here, or if it adds something dreamlike to the image.

The glare of the sun washes out the photo. The color of the horses would have made this picture standout much more.
