This is an abstract and sometimes I don't do too well with those here. Plus I used the challenge name in the title *gasp* but I could not think of too much else and "star sitting in some green stuff" was just too boring ;)

Taken outdoors during the day - so I used white balance adjustment in PP to start it off. Lighten and darken spots on a new layer, color balance, dodge/burn, sharpen.

I can't believe how low the score was on this one... really beautiful tones and lighting - you did get the posthumous though and that is huge

How did I miss this one? I guess because I didn't vote in the Fallen challenge. Beautiful image, and clearly should have placed much higher. Must have been downgraded by the Title Police. ;-)

PS: Congrats on the ' . substr('//www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21.gif', strrpos('//www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21.gif', '/') + 1) . ' posthumous ribbon!

It's cool the way the light catches on the little stars, and the overall blue tone works very well - I would never have thought to play with the white balance to acheive such an effect - very creative. On a minor compositional note, I do wish the metal bars weren't visible - perhaps part of a plant holder - as I do feel they detract somewhat from the overall effect.

Heh! I wrote in my comment when voting "I bet this a colorcarnival shot" then deleted it. It definitely has your signature. Congrats on yet another of those elusive ribbons I can't seem to get!!

Cheesy, but I love it. Posthumous Red Ribbon.

Very creative and interesting interpretation and wonderful cool light - very much gives it a starlit feel.

Like the title and idea behind this one. It's just alittle flat and lifeless on my screen.
