Not technically boxes, but they are still cardboard containers. Very nice. Perspective and lighting are great.

As an aside, if I saw this print in a store, I would most likely turn it to the landscape and look it that way.

If it was just cardboard, I would have gone the tubes route as well because it's certainly easier to make an interesting shot with cardboard tubes rather than a cardboard box. Alas the challenge specified box, and despite being the must unbelievably mundane and ridiculous idea ever proposed, you have to work with what you've been given.
