The Great Sand Dunes National Park near Alamosa, CO is one of my favorite places to visit, and I'm lucky enough to be within a four-hour drive of it. The dunes are massive (up to 750 feet tall), and it's fun merely to climb around on them, much less take photos. The color and shadows change noticeably throughout the day, so it's always interesting seeing how the photos will turn out. I have a bunch from a recent trip that I like, so picking just one was pretty tough. Hopefully people won't find the lack of a central object in the foreground to be too much of a detriment...

lovely...white border line a little too thick, but other than that, great

I'm a sucker for dunes. And this composition is nice. But something I can't put my finger on is distracting me. Your leading line carries me into the composition but then leaves me muddling around in the hills. Maybe a different vantage point would have helped the rhythm of the lines. Still it's dunes!!!

very impressive - it's a pity there's so much cloud in the sky.

Guh! Sand dunes - what a boring subject. This'll get nowhere.
; )

Great light and nice sense of desolation/loneliness. The only gripe is that the image is a little overexposed in the sky and lacks a little sharpness in the foreground detail.

I'd lose the border - makes it look kind of like one of those motivational posters....like it should say something about success or adversity underneath. The pic itself is really lovely.
