Taken while visiting KuongXsai Waterfall in Laos. She was a stallholder among the many that serve tourists as they enter/leave the park.

As internet/computer resources are scarce in the area and the original RAW file was over 10mb all I could do was convert & resize the file to a jpg using Irfanview which reduced it down to around 300kb.

I then emailed it to myself and logged on to my home PC using Logmein. As this only gave me 8 bit color it was a little like doing it from memory rather than visually. Opened in PS curves, SS, NI, cropped, resized & saved for web.

I just wish her hand wasn't cropped, but overall a good travel image...

nice photo, too bad you cut off her right hand.. maybe panning to the left woulda worked well so you can see her hand and less of the sandbag(?) on the right

The camera was pointing too far to the right - you've missed her hand.

I like this strong genuine image (as opposed to artificial/studio image). I wish we could see her right hand and the whole "device" she carries, and I would also crop out most of the sack(?) on the right. (not voting).
