As others have mentioned, it would be nice to see the players faces, but it's still a great shot in my mind. As for the DOF, I think you did a good job there too. |

This is one of those times I want the camera to not think for me. I see you shot in shutter priority and as a result you have some bright spots that allowed you to lose the players face who is essentially the subject of your photo. I'd rather blow out some highlights and keep the players face. After all the action is nice, but if we dont know who did it does it really matter? Bright sunshine is a killer to work in with hats/helmets and such because of the hard shadows cast on the face. Manual mode and exposing for the faces is where I want to be.
Otherwise nice shot, nice timing. Although I'd prefer to have blown the distracting background out a bit more then done at F4.5 and I might have also shot it portrait or cropped it tighter. |

I like this action shot! The ball carrier seem so huge. If I had a critique it would be to run shadows/highlights or a levels adjustment just to brighten up the runner's face so we can see hi expression. Great timing getting the shot! |
