A very brief attempt at pseudo HDR, cos I dont have photomatix. I just cranked up 'fill light' in Camera Raw, and then a bit of 'blacks'. A light gradient to the sky, and some patch tool to clear a bit of litter from the beach.
Hey Jeremy - Your gonna have to work harder if you wanna beat my 'low' score so quit your belly aching - we're the same age you know! This looks like a lovely place for a bath and just the right time of the day too! };>)
What a great picture! Such an amazing sky, I like the leading line from the lights on the left curving around the picture, and the water looks inviting. Although I will truly take your word that it is cold, which I wouldn't dare get into.
