I don't think you need to worry about cloning out the boat, the composition is really nice with all 3. I see the anchors are out, but where did the people go? Reminds me of the shows about the Bermuda Triangle. |

I actually kinda like it just fine like this. Moorings rarely have just one boat, and the scale makes the Lucretia that much more majestic with perspective. Love the contrast. |

Wonderful high key shot. Plenty of contrast and detail. Actually, I like the composition created by all three boats, and all three are in the sweet spot. Well done. |

I did this in about 3 minutes.
Used a clone brush of about 80 pixels at first with a hardness of about 50%. Took some water from the left of the boat and cloned the hull out in 2s. Used a much smaller clone brush, 8px, with hardness of 100% to remove the mast from the hull of the boat, I zoomed right in and lined up the clone brush with the brown and white border and then the same with the blue white border. Same small brush to get the mast out.
Same principal with the boat at the rear, lined up the clone brush with the horizon to make sure they matched .... the whole thing took less time than writing this, it's a little crude and could be done better with the original and a little more time spent :) |
Thanks, Robert. I thought about cloning, but figured there was too much fiddly stuff. I'll give it a shot over the weekend.
