 On Thursdays during the summer the municipal band plays in the park. We're usually out and try to catch part of it.

I didn't have a shot for today so I figured a good band shot would do. I also wanted to test the noise on the new camera. Taken @280mm (had extender on) on a tripod.

This was taken @ ISO 800 and I did some basic editing - no noise reduction.

Interesting light tones. Looks clean enough for me. Very appropos of Slice of Life.

It's wonderful to see community groups like this still giving people the opportunity to play their instruments. I'm afraid its a dying art in America. Nice capture.

I like the human interaction, and the activity on the go. This is what 'slice of life' should be all about.
I cant see any noise at all, so I think that in this light, at iso800, things are perfect, as I'd expect with your camera.

I like it, a great photo for 'slice of life'. With my eyesight, and fixed lenses in both eyes, cannot judge or notice the noise much at all.
