The ruins if an Imperial Thermal bath. In it's heydey, it had cold, warm and hot water, steam baths, and sporting grounds. It was built in the 4th century AD.
(And at this point in our tour, it was a nasty gray miserable day with rain. That didn't last very long, though, which was nice.)
