 On the summit of Mauna Kea. The shapes on the ridge behind us are astronomical observatories. Mauna Kea has clean, dry, stable air, so it's a major international astronomy center.

It's Hawaii in summer, but at that altitude, I took my gloves off only long enough to set up the camera for the self-timer!
