 NPS seems to maintain these roads with an old tractor.
The picture title is a bit of an environmental statement. Natural roads don't "cut" the land, but follow its contours. The asphalt and heat are absent and the vegetation hugs the tires as both humans and vehicles enjoy the journey to the destination.

Tough call on the cropping for this one. YOu've emphasized the curve of the path but I find the mass of gray sky to be a little over powering. 7
