 Photographer’s Notes
Mid-month, my son and I climbed Mt. Borroughs, one of Mt. Rainier’s minor sister peaks. This was a bit of a nostalgia trip for us. When the kids were young we’d take them to Rainier and hike, often carrying one or both on our backs.

This was shot not far from the Sunrise Visitor center from an altitude of about 7,000 feet looking toward the top of Mt. Rainier just over 14,000 feet.

An awe inspiring location. Really nice color and clarity. My favorite part is the summit with the low lying clouds surrounding it. My only nitpick, the shadows on the trees are too dark.

This unusual cloud formation deserves to be more prominent in the picture - I'd crop closer.
