Yes I'm going for the brown. I had a lot of ideas for this challenge; some realistic, some not. However since the degree of confusion that seemed to surround the challenges purpose and rules I could not trust that the score that I or anyone would receive would match the actual value and quality of the photo entered. Rather than put a great effort in for naught I am giving yet another poor attempt at humor. :)

I honestly hope to be unique and to be a refreshing change for voters, and I really hope for no mean or rude comments.

So about the shot, I did this with the D300 which... is a bit more difficult to get hot pixels than my G2 which had them severely. I cropped an area with a pixel, removed noise, brightened, and used the clone tool to remove another hot pixel who was undeserving of being included.

Score Prediction: 3.1

You got the brown, but you're not the lowest-scoring D300 photo.
:-D

Well, you did a sterling impersonation of Charliebaker, actually coming in under him. You were not very far off on your score prediction. It's sometimes as hard to come in last as it is to score well!

This has the distinctive feel of a Charliebaker shot. (I may ribbon before I get a brownie!)

Hmmm I am trying to think about how this meets the challenge?? Ok, point of color, check. Rule of thirds, check. Ok 2 points for each.

Hmmm! Well you were quite literal weren't you? There is a bit of humor here.

Definitely meets the challenge but not exactly what I'd hang on the wall. Maybe display it on someone's monitor without their knowledge, though... that'd be fun.

A-hah!
The quintessential interpretation of the challenge.
Going to be interesting seeing how this scores.
