Wife's watercolour pigment in a wine glass of water

What a job! the most difficult part of this was the focusing. ended up holding a paintbrush in the centre of the wineglass autofocusing and then switching off to hold focus. A drop of ink in the centre of the glass and voila!

processing :- convert from RAW (overexposing as I went), crop, usm, curves, spot healing, save for web.

Nice, but a bit too much contrast, took away from detail, 5.

Yes Virginia, there IS color in that bowl! My two criticisms are that it's a little out of focus and that the swirls are bunched up and lack definition. Pair a 5.6 aperture with a flash, and you'll be able to shoot at a fast enough speed with enough DoF to capture this scene effectivly.
