Too high of a contrast (w/ the grass and what is beyond).

maybe you were trying for something here that didn't quite work. There' no real impact or mood. Perhaps you need a focal point of some sought. As they say, there's lots of potential here! :)

Even with a blown white BG this photo works for me. The sharp contrast gives it a bit of an unearthly feel.
