 June is hydrangea season in Japan. These are the first blooms at the school's hydrangea patch. There are many different species in Japan - including one I was very surprised to find out (yesterday) is a hydrangea.
I was tempted to post a completely different plant, but I might save it for the Free Study (after a reshoot). I just might say it's very Sherpetesque. ;-Þ

Wow, this is very pretty. Gorgeous shade of blue with just that hint of purple. Good job, sometimes I find these colors are hard to capture accurately.

Per you comment: as you know, plants can be a tough sell in the free study, but I say if you like it, go for it!

I adore these guys. I think it's cool that their colors are affected by the acidity of the soil. Like an instant bouquet.
