This shot is of a fish in a stream that is located just about 1 mile from my house... as you can see, there is a plastic ring (from a 6-pack of beverages) stuck around it's head... this picture just goes to show that garbage/litter/etc, impacts EVERYTHING.

Awesome shot!! Wonderful message. I really love the angle you have taken this at. I think it shows the pain and suffering this poor fish must have gone through. lol. Great lighting, I think it really creates the mood here. The placement is great, and I like the crop you chose as well. Very nice depiction of garbage. One of my favorites this week. Good luck in the challenge. ~Hbunch7187~

poor fish. Uninteresting framing though. 4/10 for the effort.

This is very sad indeed. A good shot. I wouldn't have cropped it so tightly though.

Sad that this happens but a good photo showing the results of careless discarding of trash. I could see this as a great poster for recycling or a litter campaign.

What a strong message. Almost nothing can express better how garbage and littering can kill nature. :-(
Nice focus and somehow the reflections of light in the water don't disturb but add to the shot. Like a balance between the green in the lower right corner and the light in the upper left. 9

Tough lighting situation. I like the composition. It isn't a very attractive shot, but it fits the challenge and is good technically. I also like the title :o) ~indi

I WANT TO EAT THIS TROUT FOR DINNER!! I hope no animals were harmed in the making of this photo. I like it. I am going to rate it high. Even though I hate pictures on dpc with "messages" you know, like don't forget to vote, don't spill the milk, don't litter because a kitten might die. Maybe this would have been a better photo if you had a kitten in it. Kittens are cute.

the shock factor definetly grabbed my attention--maybe taking away some of the grass blocking the fish would improve this photo--but i like it regardless--i hope u found it like that and didnt cause it!

Great find, good composition - poor fish. I like this one, but it does have a bit too much darkness in it.... (7) MarkRob

Really nice shot. I love the glare on the water and your color is super. What a sad commentary. DPz
