Well, it's not a cigar store, but a new clothing shop that has sprung up beside the main branch of sato Camera since I was last there. Also, it's not entirely wooden - plaster cast, perhaps.
Note the little caster wheels on the base ... though I wasn't game enough to shift him to a better background. ;-Þ

I was saddened to day to find out that the blue horse has gone, the cafe being closed...

At first I thought it was your processing that gave it that "flat" look, but after reading your comments I'm guessing it's due to the look of the plaster. I can only imagine the look on the owner's face if he/she had caught you wheeling the statue into a better position to photograph.

Wooden Indians Native Americans is something you see so rarely anymore, and you found one half way around the world. He's loaded with lots of nice detail.

For some reason, I thought this was a toy until I read your notes. At any rate, I really like the color and details in the carving on the Indian. It might be interesting to do some close-ups of him to get some of the textures in the wood.
