I really likeed this entry - the technicals are outstanding and it is clean and simple - typically great for DPC. I think the area where this one fell down for the voters is the lack of story. The top shots all had a significant story tied to them. I think we all want to be detectives and figure out the crime at some level....

I wonder who dunnit.
Think we can get a conviction here? I know CSI would have this case wrapped up in about 12.3 minutes. (approx) *laffing*

This fingerprint looks great, but the hand is a bit funky colored

OMg! An amazing picture, the fingerprint an the magnifying glass are well in focus and positioned correctly. But what about the hand! The tones are of, it recognisably blurry, it looks like it only has 3 fingers, and the positioning is all wrong!

Left half of the photo: 7/10
right half: 4/10
overall: 6/10

Clean and simple. Great detail and contrast. I'm not crazy about how the hand is holding the glass.

A simple yet effective photo. It is difficult to believe that anyone would leave their fingerprint on such a white background. So the picture is only slightly unbelievable. I like the lighting on the hand.

I appreciate the simplicity of this photo and the attention to detail. The composition utilizes the rule of thirds well, and you have created interest with the angles and the shadows. I'm also impressed by how clearly you captured the print through the glass. The only thing that bothers me is the color of the hand seems a little red, and I feel like a gloved hand may have been more appropriate.

interesting concept just wish there was a story here and not just a fingerprint. There is nothing to tell me anything.
