Stunning colors on this shot. They work very well together. Focus on the praying mantis is perfect. My only suggestion would be to get rid of that extra leaf under the big one, my two cents, but still a 9 from me.

This insect is very interesting and a perfect poser but can be very aggressive if you put your finger to close to its path. The red background really compliments the mantees.

I like the graceful curves of the leaves and how it contrasts with teh sharp angle of the mantic. the color contrasts are also nice.

Niccee! I snagged a shot of a baby mantis a few weeks back. Little critter wouldn't stay still for me for very long. this one looks about the same size as the one I ran across. How'd you manage to get this guy on a background?
