Nice shot, the water looks fantastic. The only thing I'd be tempted to do is use the magnetic lasso and select the bug and do a shadow / highlights on it just to reveal a little detail |

Great job! As MaryO said, there is a surreal quality to the water - it could be anything. Must have taken a very very fine focus. |

These little critters are so cool the way than can walk on water. You did a good job of capturing the bug and the little dents in the water. |

You did well to get detail in the bug with such a light background. I have photographed these before, and it is a challenge to get exposure right. |

I like it! Almost otherworldly feel with the water so smooth and the little bumps where its feet are touching and disturbing the surface tension. Always find these little guys amazing when I stop to think about them walking on water!
I'd go so far as to clone out the two red flares. I thought about whether it would have more impact with the dark corner cloned out but I think I like the idea that he's kind of teetering on the edge of something dark and unknown. |
