Looks like a blood stain on the blade. You need to wipe that off next time you gut someone.

The focus and the angle of the knife lead the eye into the photo nicely!

Actually, I am not too fond of where your focal point is in this image. I would rather see it on the hilt or perhaps even on the point of a blade. Where it is now, I find myself getting a little lost trying to hunt it. I like the lighting and colouring though.

big knife, DOF great, the composition forces the eye to travel the entire image

The underneath stuff is called "cammie netting" I thought it might give it more of a military feel. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Cool. I'll bet you even have a BFR or two laying around!

Do you have one with a bit of light on the blade? Just to give it a little punch.

Yeah, baby! Now that's a knife! :) Great job on the DOF. One thing on several of your images - are you shooting RAW? Is your white balance set to auto? If you are shooting RAW, you can adjust the temperature down - I almost always have to when shooting with indoor light and WB set to auto, otherwise I get the yellowish tint like this.

Now, the flamethrower shots actually should have a lot of yellow - assuming you'll shoot them in action, of course. ;-)
