I can't think of a really good reason for sticking a toad on a flower except that I couldn't sleep and when I went outside in the very early morning I promptly discovered this toad and then looked over at the flowers and thought, gosh, that's a good contrast in several senses of the word, so I put them together. <--- ridiculously long sentence
Oh, and the throne is on a car hood which was wet with dew, and the raindrops on the flower are from storms last night.
Had to use the flash the sun wasn't really up yet.
I have no clue how this will fare with the voters ;-)
PP - converted from RAW, straightened, cropped, levels, converted to duotone, increased contrast, added border, resized, sharpened with noise reduction. |

Really great shot, Mary. It looks like a page from a fairytale. |

I'm just going through this challenge now, and this is a FANTASTIC image. I'm not sure if a frog has a face or not, but the look on his is priceless. Great job! |

The frog looks quietly outraged. :) I like this direct, frontal view, gives impact to the imperious "expression" on the frog. |

While I'm generally not a huge fan of cool tones, this is a fantastic fairytale image. Perhaps you were taking a bit too long to set up this shot. Apparently, he is not amused. |

I love this shot, but (and i know this is a tall order) i wish the frog was "posing" different, maybe so we could see his side. Contrast and detail are great. It feels a tiny little bit crooked, maybe straighten a bit. 9 |
