 It was really dreary and rainy out but I managed to get some shots anyway. At ISO 400. Bad, bad, bad. This was the best of the bunch. I had bracketed shots for HDR and I swear that noise multiplies, as opposed to canceling out.

Trying to keep up with the comments, I see this is the same scene as Day 5 (which I saw before this one). Not sure why this doesn't grab me like the other, it just seems a bit flat. Just one amateur's impression (I'm not too worried you'll get upset and give up photography).

Vanishing Point challenge = 10

This is AMAZING. Has a very 'drawn' look to it. There is photography and there is art and then there is where they meet. This photo is in that division.

I love the desolation and quite of dreary beach days...it actually allows the mind to wander, contemplate..the grandness of it all.

I would have been tempted to darken the midtones here (cloud at the top and the beach itself) but that would have gone against the title a little bit! Great perspective - well captured.

Not as dreary as the torrential rain we had today. >:( But you did capture the dreariness very well here. BW was a good choice.
