Really great detail. He looks so nice and fluffy!

Wonderful feather detail and I like the catchlight in his eye.

That is a nice looking bird. I wonder if the dark feathers are a result of it being in captivity and it's diet there at the zoo?
The VR did a nice job of keeping this sharp with the 300mm at 1/90 sec. The eye is the attention point for me in this image.

Very dark for a Redtail, but I know they can vary a lot in color. Very nice detail and I actually rather like the pose (he looks thoughtful); agree with the commenters who suggested trying to tone down the blown bits on the beak.

Beautiful color and great detail. Two things bother me just a bit. First the beak seems a bit blown out. I wonder if a little black in soft light mode would improve that. The second is something you can't do anything about, and that is the direction of his gaze. The eye is so clear and strong, I would really like to see him looking straight into the camera so I could get more of a sense of connection with him.

I was surprised to see that this is a red tail hawk, seems darker and more red than most I have seen but there can be some variations in the species. Nice pose for you, I do feel the beak is a bit bright, maybe a bit of dodging to tone it down just a touch regardless nicely done!

Handsome looking chap - do we know what he is ? a Hawk of some sort I'm guessing - maybe a Harris Hawk ?

The bright green is a little distracting, but otherwise nice shot.
