Not the greatest shot, by any means, but for some odd reason it really appeals to me. AND ... I thought we all needed a break from my string of birds.
Funny thing is that I was just walking along and there was this little guy going as fast as he could. Fun find.

That shadow just makes this picture. Really cool textures in this shot.

Great shadow casting a lovely diagonal for the eye to follow leading you down to Mr Speedy . .

Nice shot.

Fun composition! That shadow is just so huge in relation to the snail, like some horror movie where the shadow shows what's really inside something. Eeek, a looming snail!! That doesn't work, does it? Snails are just not scary beasts unless you are a plant. Still a fun shot.

Great shadow cast by this snail, well seen! I wonder how well a snail travels on sand like this, seems like it would keep sticking to his slime.

I like the angle and the shadow, if there was no shadow I don't think this would work so well ... I don't like snails though, they ate my courgette plant ;)

The snail is interesting, with the crack in its shell and the sand on its head. I feel frustrated by not being able to see more of it. I like the composition with the shadow.

I love the shadow cast by the snail. This is a good perspective from the top and the shadow from the side. Well done!

This is gonna sound dumb but this throws off my equilibrium for some reason. I think it's because I cannot orient myself and I feel like I am looking down at some odd angle or that I am tilting. I actually find it kind of cool that a simply composed photo like this can make me feel this way. That's interesting!
