Hi Peter,
I've taken a few looks at this and am mixed about how it would have done in the partners challenge. The penguins themselves are awesome - great pose, almost looks like they are bowing in tandem. There's a small issue with no catchlights in the eyes or eye contact that makes them seem a little inaccessible, but I still think they are quite striking. I think what might have kept the score in the low 6 range (which is what I'd predict for this shot - and God knows my predictions are often waaaaay off) is that the background does not accentuate them. It's a shot that viewers have to study to appreciate, and on DPC the viewers tend to take a perfunctory look, click a number, and move on. I do think this is a most worthy photo, though, and would look great in larger size. |

| Cute shot. I would have loved to see it in the Partners challenge, but I doubt the general crowd would have felt the same. |
