...if i had to critique i would say the hat makes it look like you are being paid by the company to wear it in the shot
Well - I always wear that hat - it's my company, so in a way I do get paid to wear it. But after reading that, I didn't want it to detract or commercialize the image, so I broke the photoshop rule and changed it.
i was kinda afraid to leave that part of my comment but since you had posted i had assumed it was open to critique...not trying to be a nit picker or rile any emotion, sorry 'bou 'dat
No worries, Jason. I always appreciate honest critiques.
Nice SP, Art, under sad circumstances. Btw, I'm boggled at your PS skills, that I can hardly believe what I'm seeing. Did you really edit the hat logo in Photoshop? It looks so completely real.
I, um... photoshop? Uh, no. No, I uh, ran out and bought an embroidery machine (one of those expensive industrial ones) and removed my own logo and embroidered the DPChallenge one on, sat back in my chair and recreated the same shot. Photoshopping it woulda been a big hassle. ;-)
Actually, unbeknownst to him, I stole it from Leo (FocusPoint)'s image.

That was quite a shock to wake up to this morning - I figured it was one of those "closed my account" threads - really wish it had been. I like you not photoshopped by the way.
yeah good shot, enjoy the perspective,if i had to critique i would say the hat makes it look like you are being paid by the company to wear it in the shot
Definitely sad and somber news! You represented that well with this photo. Technically...I think you really nailed your DOF perfectly. the monitor blurred enough to focus attention on you, but not so much that it doesn't give context.
I didn't really know Sean, but I can see that he was a valuable member of the community and that he will be sorely missed. I think your photo is a nice tribute to his memory.
