The patch of light in the colors of the flowers, the textures, the broken tree, the DOF all combine to make this image a very nice little world to enjoy. I agree that if you squint to defocus it a little, it takes on an impressionist painting look.
Beautiful shot.

lovely image, seems almost impressionistic

can you add brush strokes in PS? it might be fun. the yellows are perfect!

This is lovely - has a Monet-ish feel with better clarity, and the golds just seem to glow.
