 Taken mid-afternoon during Fleet Week in NYC. Thanks to the young man who let me take his photo (well, he didn't protest, anyway). :-)

I'm very happy this did as well as it did; it's my personal best score to date. I'm glad people liked it. I don't think I've ever received more than two "10" votes before, and it's very gratifying to get more 6's than 5's! Thanks for the helpful comments.

Look at this - your new personal best!!! I liked it - the detail and clarity on him is so excellent. That pose is interesting - pretending to not be interested hehe. Great capture of lighting too. Good job Larry and congrats on the new PB!

I think you've fallen into the trap of oversharpening this one a little - but the lighting is oddly effective. It's a pity the background is dull, it doesn't really vindicate your off-centre composition.

There's a lot in this, it's a strong, clear portrait. Maybe too much background .

Good portrait, with an excellent position in the frame.
I like less the line between dark and light grey in the background, crossing his head.

Very nice use of natural light - excellent exposure! He looks like Jamie Foxx (who never appeared in the TV Series "Lost"). I'll eplain later. Good luck and well done.
