Date: May 21, 2008
Aperture: 11

I used my canon 5D and the 16-35 at 35mm plus a B+W polarizer, then taken to CS and made a nice old looking color, sharpen, and some dogging.

This is a wonderful place for those who like old boats the place is like a after war like full of boats everywhere worth going down for a few shoots, place full of nature and history

"Dungeness has been designated as a National Nature Reserve (NNR), Special Protection Area (SPA) and a Special Area of Conservation (SAC). It is home to 600 species of plants which is a third of all plants found in the UK. The National Nature Reserve stretches across Dungeness to encompass the vast RSPB reserve and is intended to help protect the landscape and its wildlife."

Beautiful. Love the golden tones and the texture of the wood.

Great DOF and captured from a captivating vantage point. The sepia is beautiful. A nine for you.

Nice catch!. The use of sepia is a good choice. I was a bit put off by the crop, though. At least until I thought about the symbolism of it. The boat is on its way out of the picture, with just a bit more to go, and a vast shining past behind it. Still disturbing, but more due to nostalgia, then.

Sepia works well, interesting old boat and rail line.

The good photograph but rather good if being taken with the wide lens.

Well done on the composition. There is a lot of very interesting things to look at. I think the sepia presentation (or any atonal presentation) sort of makes everything the same...thus you lose some of the dimension that exists naturally. (I could be wrong, I don't have the colored shot to compare it to.)

The rails trailing off into the distance just add the finishing touch :)
Lovely!

I think this shot may have worked better in color, even though I realize you're going for the weathered, vintage look.
