There's something about the symbolic "mists of time" in this original which is sadly missing in the renovated print. I also prefer the sepia tone. Like dead flowers, old prints have a certain beauty which can never be replaced by re-editing and reprinting in the digital age. At least that's my opinion. I can understand why, though, it is often necessary to preserve these old photos and reprint them for the sake of the archives.
