 Holy Crap. I managed to dredge up one of my first attempts at art in the darkroom. This is from my first newspaper job. It had to be 1987-1988. Its a self portrait, no doubt. ;) I cant figure out what i wrote on the actual print. If anyone can decipher it, let me know. It makes me smile and laugh all at once.

I also found a note attached to the back of the print...

Sometimes you feel like quitting. You look at the work and realize it's mediocrity, but you cant stop, because this was your choice...your decision...your destiny. So, you keep going, plunging ahead, never letting the barriers break your speed. Because, one day it's gonna make some sense. And, one day, your goals become reality, because you wished it into existence. So, don't give up and don't give in. Keep in tune with the voices in your head. Don't let the commonplace set you back. Don't even stop to question.

indeed, it was a note to self. Oh, and I deciphered the writing.

There's a strange force taking over my brain - not emotion - not feeling - a neurological impulse and its eating my head. Could it be i'm melting? I wish I may, I wish i might, to make some sense of this rude delight.
