This is a follow-up on the 'Rainbow Effect' thread (//www.dpchallenge.com/forum.php?action=read&FORUM_THREAD_ID=80297)

This is a 'true' scientific visualisation of lightness where color is the function of it (you have guessed right! I recombine the HSL split using lightness as the hue map and setting the L channel to 50% grey and S to 100% white!)

Unresolved issues are: assigning a specific gradient to the lightness map. My method gives only R-O-Y-G-C-B-M-R gradient with possible clipping of start-stop values (by adjusting output values) or rotating the gradient (by shifting pallette indices - manual editing of the .pal file!)
