 Alright, its time to get serious. I very recently got access to CS3. I had been using PSP X2 for all of my images and I got sucked into doing the same things for every image (same processing steps with the same values). I've graduated to photoshop cs3 and I must admit, I like the results so far. For me it is much easier to deal with the sliders and get basically immediate response to the preview image compared to numbers in PSP and waiting for the preview to update.

This is my first challenge entry using CS3 and HOPE to get a fairly high score as I really like this image. Oh, and by high I mean >6.0, which I have yet to do.

I used my polarizer to get a better looking sky and the speedlight as a fill flash to help with some of the harsh shadows.

My original idea was for the title "Another Black Cow". I was attempting to get a picture when the cows wanted nothing to do with me. I wanted a cow head and nothing but sky above (me basically laying underneath the cow....and I wasn't about to lay in that mud that surrounded them). So I turned to go back to the house and saw one of my father-in-law's old tractors and tried to think of an acronym for the title and came up with this.

Much too sharp to be soft focus. UGH!!! I thought I was voting in the other challenge. Sorry. That being said, nice use of leading lines in using the trees to bring the attention to the tractor.

It's a photo of farm equipment (which I usually don't find interesting), but I do like the three primary colors hou have: blue sky, green foliage and the red/rusted tractor. The saturation keeps it from being too boring.
