 This was going to be my submission for the Out of Place challenge, but I couldn't achieve the results I was looking for with the classic editing rules. So, I decided to do it anyway and use it for my March Free Study shot.

Natural morning light filtered through thin draperies of our dining room.

The stetson is my old Parks Canada dress uniform hat. We never wore this in the field, only during official functions. And no, the shoes aren't mine. LOL! These naughty red pumps belong to my beautiful wife ;)

I would have loved to, but the editing undertaken to get this shot was way past classic editing rules. Decided to be honest on submit to March Free Study instead. Thanks for the comment.

This is a unique photo. However, I actually saw a hiker in Utah wearing a black spaghetti strap and black high heels. Thought it was totally odd till I was climbing in California and down the path comes a young lady with. . . black dress and black high heels. Haven't come across a lady in red yet!! BOL on a very neat, sharp an snappy shot.

Wonderful work. You, unlike most people who use this method, know when and what to desaturate to one color for proper effect. The lighting, shadows, composition and technical quality of this image is outstanding.

I'll be really curious to see what you submitted for the out-of-place challenge. :)
