 Made a black border with a gradient on the vertical edges. The curved area (vinyetting) was caused by the barrel for the add-on wide angle lens. I then made color adjustments to hilight the sky and darken the barrel area to a uniform color. I did not fully darken it along, because I wanted to better give the impression of a window. Other than the editing along the vertical edges, this could have been with regular contest rules.

Thanks everyone who commented! This has been my best scoring photo ever(and only photo for a while). Just as a note, the camera I am using is only a 1.5MP camera so everything in between the verticals is from the original shot. Thanks again!

Very nice clarity here of the boats and marshy area. The border is nice, but upstages your shot a bit too much perhaps; I'm not sure of its function. Lovely tones, too.

There is a feeling of looking out onto another time. Whether past or future it would be hard to say. Well-taken anyhow.

I'm not sure the black window adds to your composition and it's given a good % of the area. The scene behind looks promising and I'd like to get a closer look at the lumber thing.
